LAKE ALEXANDER PROPERTY OWNERS’ ASSOCIATION BOARD MEETING
SUNDAY, DATE SEPTEMBER 21ST AND TIME 6: 00 PM
SCANDIA VALLEY TOWN HALL
Board Members Present:
Dr. Bill Faber, Alice Sunde, Jim McGonigle, Bob Andersen, Cade Roberts, Doug Cook, Lorena Kostallari.
Secretary’s Report: A motion was made by Bob Andersen, seconded by Jim McGonigle, to approve the minutes of LAPOA of July 20th, 2025, Board Meeting. Motion carried
Treasury Report: Alice Sunde presented a printout of transactions that occurred from August 9th to September 21st, 2025. A motion was made by Doug Cook, seconded by Cade Robert, to approve the Treasurer’s report. Motion carried.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Water Quality/ Schechi Disk/ Chemical Monitoring
Jim McGonigle reported that the water quality has not changed since the last update during the Annual meeting. Jim will conduct another water quality test in the next 2 weeks.
Jim McGonigle reported that he completed the first air testing. The pine needle sample has been sent, and the result will be up in approximately one year.
Fisheries:
Waiting on the report from Gene
Morrison County Land Use/Planning and Zoning
Appraisers from the Morrison County Land Service office were in the area conducting house visits in September for the 5-year review assessments.
Shoreline Restoration:

Membership
Treasurer Alice Sunde stated that 306 memberships have been processed so far.
OLD BUSINESS
LAPOA Facebook Pager – Doug Cook presented that the LAPOA Facebook page is on and running. For more information, you can follow our page on Facebook
Veliger Testing- Was completed in July by Doug and Gene Champeau. Testing was positive for zebra mussel veligers.

Other of Business
Scandia Valley First Response Donation: Lake Owners who have not yet renew their membership will receive a note the voluntary donation for the Scandia Valley First Responders
NEW BUSINESS
Board Leaders Elections
A motion was made by Bob Andersen, seconded by Doug Cook to approve President Dr. Bill Faber, Vice President Gene Champeau, Treasurer Alice Sunde, and Secretary Lorena Kotallari. Motion Carried.
Fall Newsletter
The Fall Newsletter is currently in the works and will be sent this fall to members of LAPOA
Other New Business
The next LAPOA meeting will be held at the Town Hall on April 12th at 5 p.m.
The annual meeting was scheduled and will be held at the Town Hall on August 8th, 2026
